  • Keep the bandage on for the amount of time recommended by your artist. Once removed, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean towel and apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment or unscented moisturizer.

  • Wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day for the first few days. Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo.

  • Use fragrance-free, gentle soap and a light unscented moisturizer. Avoid petroleum-heavy products unless specifically recommended by your artist.

A thin layer of moisturizer is best. Your tattoo should be hydrated, not shiny or greasy. Over-moisturizing can slow healing.

  • Yes. Peeling, flaking, and mild itching are normal parts of the healing process. Do not scratch or pick at your tattoo, as this can damage the ink and cause scarring.

  • The surface typically heals within 2-3 weeks, but full healing beneath the skin can take 4-6 weeks. Continue proper aftercare during this time.

  • Avoid swimming, hot tubs, lakes, and baths for at least 2-3 weeks. Showers are fine. Submerging your tattoo too early can cause infection and ink loss.

  • No. Avoid direct sunlight while healing. After your tattoo has healed, always use SPF 30+ sunscreen to protect the ink and prevent fading.

    • Scratching or picking

    • Tight clothing rubbing the tattoo

    • Excessive sweating

    • Sun exposure

    • Swimming or soaking

  • Light movement is generally okay after 24-48 hours, but avoid intense workouts, heavy sweating, stretching, or friction on the tattoo for at least 7-10 days. Excessive sweat and movement can irritate the skin, slow healing, and affect ink retention.
